* We briefly present our vision for a long-term program, which we want to be effective and successful. We think about the lives of all those who struggle with some form of addiction, but also the lives of their loved ones.

We want this program to be fully implemented in the shortest possible time, but this depends on the available resources. If you think you can contribute, contact us.

RECOVERY

Be Free

Be Free is a long-term recovery program for people struggling with addiction, especially alcohol, and their loved ones. We continue the work we started under this name and build it step by step, at the pace our resources allow.

About the program

Recovery from addiction is not resolved by stopping a single behavior. It requires a multi-layered approach, and it takes time. That is why Be Free is not a course with an ending, but a journey: we start from the concrete needs of each person and of the family around them, then move forward step by step.

The program starts from alcohol addiction, but it can also extend to other forms of addiction.

What we do now

Support group — A safe space where people going through addiction can share their experiences, receive support from others, and move forward together. For those at the beginning and for those who have been on this path for a longer time.

Individual meetings — For those who need a private setting, we offer individual accompaniment sessions, where each person can work with their own situation without the pressure of the group.

Support for families — Addiction affects the whole family. We offer resources and meetings for loved ones, so they can understand what is happening and support one another, while also taking care of their own balance.

Where we want to go

We are building Be Free as a complete program. As resources allow, we want to add:

  • Workshops on addiction, relapse and stress management, in clear and practical language.
  • Activities for physical health and healthy habits, as part of overall recovery.
  • Support for reintegration into work: guidance and collaborations with local organizations and companies.
  • Long-term accompaniment after the first stages, with regular meetings and support in difficult moments.

If you want to contribute to any of these, you can write to us.

First step

If you're struggling with addiction or accompanying someone who is, we can talk. We don't promise it's easy. We promise you're not alone.

De ce nu poți controla consumul celuilalt

Why you can’t control someone else’s drinking

Behind the desire to “save” the addict is a cocktail of painful feelings and emotions: fear of losing, shame, guilt, and helplessness. The codependent doesn’t actually control anyone; they’re just trying to calm their own panic. They cling to the idea that if they do enough, if they speak convincingly enough, if they forgive again and again, then the addict will stop. But this belief is a trap. Because you can’t control the other person’s consumption.
